The South Downs Show and Hampshire Wood Fair

We were proud to be the main event sponsor of the Southdown’s show and wood fair at the Queen Elizabeth country park on the A3M near Petersfield this year. On an over-cast set-up day we were all praying for some sunshine on the show days. Fortunately we were not disappointed and a terrific couple of August days followed! Beaver Tool Hire exhibited a wide selection of machinery and equipment at the show including the new Nifty 150T cherry picker and the new Genie GS-1932 Scissor lift (which was fast sinking in the soft ground as we set-up!). You can view more pictures from our time at the show by visiting our Facebook page: Also, get a great view of the show from the top of a Nifty 150T cherry picker located at the Beaver Tool Hire stand. Percussion Drill Hire

Lightweight general purpose percussion drill hire for general use including holes in brickwork, blockwork, masonry, wood, metal and plastic. Hire this product from our tool hire branches in Chichester, Fareham, Waterlooville, Portsmouth and Petersfield. Click the link above to find out further information. A percussion drill is very similar to a rotary hammer drill. The main difference between the two is that the hammering action cannot be used without the rotational function on a percussion drill. This is because the hammering action is initiated by the rotation of the chuck. Percussion drills are suited to general DIY, although they are somewhat slower than rotary drills. They are also suitable for use on semi-hard materials, such as limestone or light concrete. While some high end models can be used on hard materials, such as concrete and masonry, this causes very loud noise and strong vibrations: General Purpose/Percussion Drill 110v/240v Power input: 750W Maximum hole diameters: – Masonry/concrete: 20mm – Steel: 13mm – Wood: 40mm Weight: 3kg

New Nifty 150T trailer mount arrives

Developed specifically to maximise outreach, the Nifty 150T trailer mount delivers an unrivalled working envelope, especially at low levels where outreach is needed most. The Nifty 150T trailer mount offers an up-and-over clearance of more than 5.6m allowing it to reach easily over larger obstacles such as walls and buildings. The machine has a working height of 14.7mtrs. Compact dimensions coupled with hydraulically operated outriggers make manoeuvring and setting up the Nifty 150T trailer mount quick and simple, while its 1.4m wide platform provides the operator plenty of room in which to work. Our machine also has the benefit of traction drive which allows for simple on-site positioning.

Brendon Minibowser Powerwashers

We have added some new Brendon Minibowser Powerwashers to our hire fleet – Similar to the popular petrol washer but incorporating a 125 litre water tank. This gives a remote use time of approx. 12 minutes between fill ups. The unit delivers a maximum pressure of 2000psi / 140bar and a flow rate of 10 litres per minute. Very effective for use with the Brendon Roto-Jet floor cleaning unit. Both available to hire now. Please contact your nearest branch for further information.

New Genie GS1932 scissor lifts added to the hire fleet

We have recently expanded our scissor lift fleet with the addition of two Genie GS1932 machines – the units give a working height of 7.8mtrs and will fit through a 80cm wide doorway. Performance, reliability, serviceability and value: The 32’ Series scissors offer outdoor (1 person) and indoor (2 persons) functionality on firm, level surfaces, providing accessibility for a wide variety of applications. Low-emission electric scissors deliver a quiet, convenient method for operation in sound-sensitive environments like office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, schools and more. Front-wheel drive and zero inside turning radius for excellent manoeuvrability in tight spaces like congested construction sites, elevators and narrow aisles. Standard solid non-marking tyres. On-board diagnostics help operators troubleshoot on the fly and make adjustments in the field to maximize uptime. Swing-out battery box and power module trays allow easy access to engine components for convenient service. These Genie machines are assembled in the UK at the company’s Coventry factory.
