We were proud to be the main event sponsor of the Southdown’s show and wood fair at the Queen Elizabeth country park on the A3M near Petersfield this year. On an over-cast set-up day we were all praying for some sunshine on the show days. Fortunately we were not disappointed and a terrific couple of August days followed! Beaver Tool Hire exhibited a wide selection of machinery and equipment at the show including the new Nifty 150T cherry picker and the new Genie GS-1932 Scissor lift (which was fast sinking in the soft ground as we set-up!). Our Portsmouth branch was recently visited by Husqvarna to provide service training on their K 760 power cutter, and was then mentioned on Husqvarna’s recent newsletter to promote the K 760.
We have added some new Brendon Minibowser Powerwashers to our hire fleet – Similar to the popular petrol washer but incorporating a 125 litre water tank. This gives a remote use time of approx. 12 minutes between fill ups. The unit delivers a maximum pressure of 2000psi / 140bar and a flow rate of 10 litres per minute. Very effective for use with the Brendon Roto-Jet floor cleaning unit. Both available to hire now. Please contact your nearest branch for further information.
We have recently expanded our scissor lift fleet with the addition of two Genie GS1932 machines – the units give a working height of 7.8mtrs and will fit through a 80cm wide doorway. We had a great time Stansted Park Garden Show, thanks to everyone involved We arrived on a very sunny Thursday to set up. When people started to arrive on Friday we were ready to go and happy to see people at our stand. Saturday nearly threatened the entire weekend when we experienced a huge thunder and lightening storm but thankfully by Sunday the sun reappeared. We were happy to showcase our products and the quality brands we stock What a great weekend!
Last week we sent four of our workshop staff on a 2 day electric service course to Makita in Milton Keynes. The course is for authorised service personnel to gain a percise insight into the repair of a cross section of Makita power tools. Steve, Chris, Paul and Luke really enjoyed the course which keeps them all up to date with new technology including AVT (anti-vibration) and Lithium Ion batteries. Makita really looked after the guys, who all returned with sore heads following a very sociable evening in the hotel bar!
