We were proud to be the main event sponsor of the Southdown’s show and wood fair at the Queen Elizabeth country park on the A3M near Petersfield this year. On an over-cast set-up day we were all praying for some sunshine on the show days. Fortunately we were not disappointed and a terrific couple of August days followed! Beaver Tool Hire exhibited a wide selection of machinery and equipment at the show including the new Nifty 150T cherry picker and the new Genie GS-1932 Scissor lift (which was fast sinking in the soft ground as we set-up!). A percussion drill is very similar to a rotary hammer drill. The main difference between the two is that the hammering action cannot be used without the rotational function on a percussion drill. This is because the hammering action is initiated by the rotation of the chuck. Percussion drills are suited to general DIY, although they are somewhat slower than rotary drills. They are also suitable for use on semi-hard materials, such as limestone or light concrete. Our Portsmouth branch was recently visited by Husqvarna to provide service training on their K 760 power cutter, and was then mentioned on Husqvarna’s recent newsletter to promote the K 760.
Developed specifically to maximise outreach, the Nifty 150T trailer mount delivers an unrivalled working envelope, especially at low levels where outreach is needed most. The Nifty 150T trailer mount offers an up-and-over clearance of more than 5.6m allowing it to reach easily over larger obstacles such as walls and buildings. The machine has a working height of 14.7mtrs. Compact dimensions coupled with hydraulically operated outriggers make manoeuvring and setting up the Nifty 150T trailer mount quick and simple, while its 1.4m wide platform provides the operator plenty of room in which to work. We have added some new Brendon Minibowser Powerwashers to our hire fleet – Similar to the popular petrol washer but incorporating a 125 litre water tank. This gives a remote use time of approx. 12 minutes between fill ups. The unit delivers a maximum pressure of 2000psi / 140bar and a flow rate of 10 litres per minute.
